Diversification of MastIT Group’s business is ongoing, and in the first quarter the company achieved 39% growth. We are harvesting the results of the record order intake recorded in Q4 2023. EBITA profitability also improved quarter-on-quarter, largely driven by a high utilization rate among our in-house personnel. Because the Group operates in a sector with seasonal variation, the workforce exceeded 100 FTEs at certain times during the quarter, while the number of directly employed staff at the company’s head office increased to 27 in Q1.
MastIT’s core business—building and maintaining the 5G network for our key customer Tre (3)—continues to expand, with MastIT taking on increasing national responsibility for both rollout and ongoing infrastructure maintenance. During the period, the company established a logistics site in Borås to better handle projects in western Sweden going forward. The focus in the coming quarter will be to further develop MastIT’s business in adjacent verticals and to reach more network owners.
Telecom infrastructure and mobile communications are entering an exciting phase, with changes increasingly visible across society. Given MastIT’s position, there are clear opportunities to expand as 5G adoption accelerates across society and industry. As 5G networks become a more central part of daily life, quality and increased investment will be required to deliver services and infrastructure aligned with demand, as well as a growing need for proactive infrastructure maintenance. MastIT Group is well positioned to meet this rising demand, which is already becoming apparent across the industry.
